Indigenous vs Christian Values

I am an elder who has been in the Native movement since the Occupation of Alcatraz Island in 1969. I now teach a seminar on Indigenous values.

Christian values and Indigenous values are not the same. Our values underlie our spiritual ways. We did not believe in sky gods and a heaven in the clouds. We believed that we are from the earth and that the animals and other living beings were our relatives.
